HIGHLIGHTS

Cardiac surgery residency at the University of Calgary is a 6 year program with a commitment to providing excellent training. Foothills Medical Centre has high surgical volumes, with approximately 1800 cardiac surgery cases performed annually. Residents receive excellent exposure to coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacement, valve repair, mechanical circulatory support, minimally invasive techniques, TAVI, and complex adult cardiac surgery.
